The Metrodome!

We took Tyden to Minneapolis 2 weekends in a row, for dad's Cobber games and then for the boys basketball state tournament. Tyden's eyes were like saucers when we walked into the Metrodome! He saw Kirby Puckett's picture and started to shake! We put on our rally caps and they worked, we went to the mall and tried on Vikings horns, and we went swimming, and the best part was running the bases in the metrodome! Oh and Tyden got to see Target Field from the skyway and the conversation went like this...

Tyden- Mommy, that is where the Twins play!

Me- Yep, they will play there, they used to play in the Metrodome!

Tyden- Do I get to go there someday?

Me- Yep, we get to go in May.

Tyden- After he got done jumping up and down after I said he could go to a game he said, "Mommy, that is a really cool place!"

Me- haha yes it is!

Go Brett Go!

We were very fortunate this year and got to see Uncle Brett play a lot this year! This is Tyden all decked out in Montevideo Thunderhawk attire! He cheers by saying "Go Brett Go" or "Go Funderhawks" (sometimes that "th" is a tough one) :)

Oh boy, it is getting worse.

Yep, that is a hockey stick you see. My dad was the instigator here...our head hockey coach gave my dad an old hockey stick and our custodian shaved it down so it was shorter. Then I showed it to Tyden and it was all over. He even had to lay it in his room while he slept, and he holds it while he watches cartoons. The stick is even for left-handers! Tyden told Bryant, "Daddy, I am lucky....I am glad to have a real hockey stick."

What is wrong with this?

EVERYTHING!! I know Tyden is only 2 1/2 but he seems interested in hockey. I guess I will let him be interested so we bought some hockey skates. He didn't love skating, but he loved scoring a goal! And yes, he is using a golf club and a basketball to score the goal. Haha, we are not a hockey family! :) He told me he wants to try skating again. He loved wearing his skates in the house! We have to try them on often!

p.s. he still does like to shoot baskets too! Thank goodness!!!

Road Trip with the Cobbers

This was awhile ago (like January), but my life is now back to normal with basketball being done so I have time to blog! Bryant and Tyden come on at least one road trip with our basketball team so Mommy doesn't get so sad when she leaves for the weekend! :) Tyden loved the pool and his new "salamander suit." He also told me yesterday that he is going to take "swimming suit lessons." :) They aren't until August, but at least he is excited!

Basketball Game Etiquette

You can tell they have been to a few games! Tyden now puts his other arm behind his back during the national anthem because "that is how mom's players do it." He knows almost my whole team, first name and last. It is incredible what he remembers when we come home at night. A few weeks ago, he said "Mommy watch, I shoot layups just like Brittany!" (Brittany is a player on my team who worked at Cobber Kids and Tyden has a crush on her!) :) He ran towards the basket, put his right leg up and shot an underhand layup with both hands. Although he didn't dribble and flung it up with both hands, it is a start! (this picture is from my sister's blog so I am not sure if you can enlarge it)

The best part about every game is when the buzzer sounds I have 3 little bodies running on to the court to give me a hug. I guess winning and losing isn't everything!

Another common occurrence

This is also a common activity when Bryant is with all 3 kids! They love to tackle and wrestle with him. I actually think he enjoys it just as much!
