We have spent a lot of time at home these past couple of weeks. Tyden had been sick (yet again) and then the city basically shut down for the flood. The river has gone down, however they are predicting another crest possibly larger than the first. So to pass the time Tyden has been relaxing on the couch, building snowmen, and going to the doctor (showing off his large red bandaid after getting blood drawn). We found out he has a few food allergies and also asthma...nothing we didn't suspect, but hopefully that means we can help him stay healthier.

Still in Phoenix!
Today was day #2 in Phoenix. We woke up and went to the Phoenix Zoo. Tyden really liked the animals, especially the BIG ones! In fact, out of all the cute stuffed animals in the gift shop...he picked a Rhino. Oh well...he was such a good boy that I would have bought him almost anything. He fell asleep very quickly in the car on the way to the baseball games. The Cobbers won 2 again! We came back to the hotel after the games and Tyden waited for Papa to come and visit. He was excited to show him his Rhino and how he swims in the pool. :) Jennifer and Craig leave tomorrow so we will change hotels and stay at the same hotel as the team. Tyden will love being near the players and Papa.

Phoenix!!
I realize I haven't updated our blog since Oct. I live the life of a basketball coach so now that it is late March I finally get to go on a vacation and have time to update my blog!! Bryant, myself and Tyden flew to Phoenix last night. We are staying in a GREAT suite with Jennifer and her family with 2 bedrooms, kitchen, and living room. The weather has been beautiful. The 15 minutes Bryant and Tyden gave me (all by myself) by the pool earlier today was PRICELESS!! Tyden has been a gem. He slept the entire plane ride and then was really excited to see Auntie Jen and Uncle Craig! We woke up and went swimming and then went to see the Cobbers play. They won 2 and Tyden FINALLY got to run the bases with papa. The pictures are 1. Tyden debating on what to about the pool 2. Tyden in the pool with Austin's floatie (he LOVES being with his cousins!) 3. Tyden, Katelynn and Papa after 2 Cobber victories 4. Tyden and Katelynn "belly bumping"...this was a fun game they made up during the baseball games 5. The tent Uncle Craig made for the kids as there isn't much shade in Phoenix :) 6. Tyden pitching in the bullpen (although he pitched from home plate) 7. Tyden and Papa running the bases and touching home plate. We got great news that Uncle Brett's team in Montevideo is going to the state tournament. Tyden cheers "Go Brett Go!!" Bryant was very nervous all day.
Tomorrow is off to the Phoenix Zoo and then more Cobber Baseball! Maybe I will get to make two posts on our blog in two days! You can tell basketball is over as I have FREE time. :)

Sleeping 101
I was fortunate to be given an infant who slept extremely well. Waking up only once until 7 weeks and then sleeping through the night. As a toddler however, things have drastically changed. I first blamed it on his ear infection, then his teeth, and now......??? Naps continued to be easy until he moved into the toddler room at cobber kids. Tyden finally was able to communicate with me that he wanted to sleep on the floor. Apparently he doesn't like the crib anymore. He layed on the floor, played with his feet, talked, and then fell asleep. He didn't even try to get up and shoot baskets!!!!!!!!!!!! Whatever works!!
What does a Lion say? ROOOOOAR
I am a lion for halloween. I just learned to LOVE my costume and I want to put it on all the time!!! I especially like the "hat." I know what a lion says. I put my scary hands out and say ROOOOAR! Mommy doesn't have afternoon practice on halloween so she is taking me to a few of the relatives houses to trick-or-treat and then we are going to a halloween party at my auntie's house. Here are some pictures of me. Mommy took them in case I decide to be stubborn and not put my costume on for halloween.

Corn Feed
The Corn Feed at Concordia was in Aug. but I am late at posting any pictures since school has started. Tyden loves corn on the cob. I actually think gnawing on the cob feels really good on those gums (that are now filled with teeth!!). How can Concordia NOT use one of these pictures for the corn feed brochure next year???? :)
